Join me in the park for an afternoon of sinking in to the Autumn air, good poetry, and restorative yoga!
Restorative yoga is a slow and gentle yoga that is restful and easeful. Its aim is to have the body be as supported as possible, sinking out of fight or flight mode and into rest and digest. This restorative yoga session will be unique in that it will be outside and thus less props accessible - allowing the air, the trees, the words to be props as well, softening the body, mind, soul, & emotions.
Readings from selected poets including Rumi, Mary Oliver, David Whyte, & more.
Plus! Make it a day! Grant Park is prized as Atlanta’s oldest park & includes over 130 acres. Bring a picnic & stay awhile after the event! And it is just a 5 mins drive to the most delicious Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams… ;) If you haven’t been, go. You will thank me.
